The use as food grade and pharmaceutical oil is certainly one central application of the cold press plant oils. That is where they make an important contribution to a healthy nutrition. High quality oils are also elementary and basic ingredients in the chemical and pharmaceutical as well as in cosmetic industries. Finally, what is left over after the pressing is not really a leftover. The press cake, which is a byproduct from the oil pressing, is recovered from the pressing process as pellets or sticks. These high value foods are feed supplements, not only for animals. They also find use in the manufacture of cookies and chocolates as additives or as panada. After all, the walnut pellets are nothing else but de-oiled nuts. In addition, the press cake is also suitable as natural fertilizer or as a fuel.
